Dynamometer

We want to offer our customers the very best. That is why we acquired an ATX Dyno dynamometer, which we use to test all repaired diesel engines for commercial and railway vehicles. The dynamometer supports several types of measurements, ranging from fully automatic cycles to manual load adjustment. It features automatic correction of the measured data, taking into account environmental factors such as ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure. This ensures that every engine leaving our workshop fully meets all requirements specified by the manufacturer.
We purchased the dynamometer in the autumn of 2024. In the photo and video below, you can see a recording of the dyno setup being commissioned. We initially started by testing air-cooled engines, and since the beginning of 2025, we have expanded our capabilities to include liquid-cooled engines as well. During the initial commissioning, the engine throttle was cable-operated; however, we have now upgraded to an electronically controlled actuator. This allows engine RPM to be adjusted directly from the control station. The vibrating LCD monitor originally mounted to the dynamometer itself was immediately relocated to the test room wall.
We are continuously improving the control and regulation of the dyno's auxiliary systems (throttle control, fan speed regulation for test room ventilation and cooling, etc.). Once everything is fully completed, we will definitely publish a video where you can see exactly how we test the engines.

Overhaul of engine and gearbox in a Tatra fire truck

In the photos below, you can see snapshots of the installation of the overhauled engine and gearbox into a Tatra fire truck in our workshop. A partial disassembly of the fire bodywork was performed, the engine was replaced, and the gearbox replacement is underway.
Testing of the Hanomag-Henschel 522 TAK engine on a dynamometer test bench

Today in our workshop, we are testing and measuring the performance of a Hanomag-Henschel 522 TAK engine on a dynamometer. The customer brought the engine to us personally to accurately measure its parameters and check its behavior under full load. This interesting unit comes from a vintage bus. Thanks to the dynamometer, we can accurately simulate real operating conditions and verify proper engine function before reinstalling it into the vehicle.
T 211 Series Locomotive

Today in Wrocław, we commissioned a Tatra T 930 engine for a T 211 series locomotive. This is a new engine sourced from military surplus stock, which underwent complete disassembly, resealing, injection pump restoration, reassembly, and final load testing on our dynamometer.
703 712-0 Series Locomotive

Levice: Another routine maintenance session on the 703 712-0 series locomotive. Engine oil and filter replacement on the Caterpillar engine. Replacement of the alternator and turbocharger. On the chassis, the brake shoes were replaced and properly adjusted.

We are located on the premises of the former ČSAO Vítkov (Czechoslovak Automobile Repair Workshops), later První Vítkovská, a.s., in Vítkov. Some of our team members began repairing engines on these very grounds over 35 years ago. První Vítkovská was an authorized repair facility for Tatra engines. Following the closure of První Vítkovská, we proudly carried on this long-standing tradition. The wealth of experience we have gained over the decades helps us solve any problem today.
